With MacWorld only a few days away, the rumors have been flying around the interwebs about what to expect at the event. With this being Apple’s last year and Steve Jobs noticeably absent, it’s hard to know which story to believe. However, one that definitely has our interest is the rumor of a new Mac Mini destined for a glorious launch on Tuesday, January 6th. The Mini has not seen an update in quite a while, and while the allegations of a new machine are just rumors at this point, there seems to be a level of certainty about the eminent launch of a new “mini powerhouse”.
If the rumors are true, the Mac Mini will almost certainly have an updated body styling to match that of it’s updated brothers; the MacBook and MacBook Pro. There is no news of altered dimensions, but chances are we could see an even smaller version than the current box. Apple has made a point to be more environmentally friendly with its current offering and we expect the Mac Mini to follow suite.
Only time will tell whether this machine will grace our presence in just a few short days, but one thing’s for sure—if a new Mini is announced, Apple will finally have a decent shot at capturing some of the home media market that the current Mini hasn’t been able to reach. Either way, we’re looking forward to the event and will bring you all of the latest updates as they unfold!
