iGolf turns your iPhone in to a portable Wii

TechCrunch has found a cool new App Store game that turns gaming on your iPhone in to a more Wii-like experience. This new, free app is called iGolf and it’s made by the folks at SGN (App Store Download). The game allows you to select a club, “swing” the iPhone and watch the ball soar off the tee! So for you golf fanatics that can’t carry Tiger Woods for the Wii around in your pocket, this could be just the thing to tide you over. Check out a video of the game in action below.

Great concept, just not executed that well.

I agree! It seems like such a fun concept but when it comes to actually playing, it’s kind of a hassle. I’m not sure if there’s a trick to it or not, but I can never seem to get a full swing in without the club “false swinging”. Any tricks?

point your screen towards the direction you’re hitting, works for me :)
Also, check out SGN’s iBowl and iBaseball :)
