iPod Nanos to see size-bump and come in new colors?

Well today’s the big day and it looks like some last minute media event news is making it’s way to the masses. According to MacRumors, Apple is set to refresh their entire iPod line later today. They’re reporting that “iPod Nanos are expected to be size-bumped from the current 4GB/8GB sizes up to 8GB/16GB models. As well, Apple will be introducing 9 different colors for each Nano (up from the current 6 colors). The additional colors are expected to be Purple, Yellow and Orange.”

The iPod Touch is expected to also see some sort of update, but it appears that the size-bump will not be where this device gets new features. It has been rumored that we’ll see the new 2.1 software, so perhaps Apple has something else up it’s sleeve. One thing’s for sure, we’re only 3 hours away from the event (10 AM Pacific / 1 PM Eastern) and we’ll be bringing you the latest updates as they’re made available!
