Last chance for “Tris” before it’s pulled from the App Store

Well we figured the blocky fun had to come to an end sooner or later. It looks like the popular App Store app “Tris” is going to be yanked from the store after pressure from the Tetris® Company who claims copyright on the game. Even though Noah Witherspoon, the game’s developer, is being forced to take the game down, it will still be available for free until Wednesday, August 27th. It’s unfortunate that the game is being pulled, but Noah seems fairly level-headed about the situation. He says:

The trouble is, I’m a college student, and not an affluent one, and I simply do not have the time, energy, or resources to fight this battle right now. There’s a point at which I am willing to give up and be practical, to let the world have its way with that ever-mistreated little ideal of “principle”.

So don’t wait around here, go on over to the App Store and grab this game before it’s no longer available! We’ve downloaded it already and it’s a blast!

Don’t have my iPhone yet but I have the “Applications” tab in iTunes fully loaded for it! :)
I’m downloading all apps that might get pulled away ASAP as they are released, could be worth it.

Shitty from the Tetris owner, actually the real Tetris owner hasn’t earned any money. Which sucks to.
