Adding to their already famous line-up (yes we’re talking about the #1 application in the App Store, Tap Tap Revenge), Tapulous has released a new Twitter application for the iPhone called Twinkle. And so far, we think it’s the best native application available for accessing Twitter on the iPhone.
One of the incredible features of Twinkle that sets it apart from the rest is how it utilizes the iPhone 2.0 software’s ability to provide location services and put you in contact with other users nearby. Not only can you keep your Twitter account buzzing with convenient hyper-updating, you can now discover, connect, and send messages to people near your current location. A little creepy? Yes. But it’s hands down the coolest feature of the app and should provide some really great interaction among the Twinkle community. Here are some other great features found in Twinkle:
- Easily update your Twitter account with an OS X style interface
- Attach pictures to your posts
- Access the entire gammet of Twitter features
- Update your location effortlessly
We think Twinkle is definitely worth a try, especially if you’re looking for a fun and easy way to update your Twitter account
I will take another look at this app once it allows the use of “d + username + message.” Until then, I’m sticking with twitterific. Thanks for the heads up though!
That’s a good point, I wonder if this will be a deal breaker for others too? Thanks for the comment!
