After what seemed like months and months of waiting, the highly anticipated iPhone 3G was announced at this year’s WWDC Keynote. And boy was it worth the wait! After just one year, the iPhone 3G is touted as “twice as fast and half the price”. Apple’s new iPhone will offer more out of the box including enterprise level Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, 3rd party apps created using the new iPhone SDK, and will be available in more than 70 countries by the end of 2008. The new iPhone touts many new features including:
- 3G-capable (2.8 times faster than EDGE)
- Built-in GPS navigation
- Microsoft Exchange AcctiveSync
- Better battery life
- The oh so popular flush headphone jack
iPhone 3G will be available July 11th and will cost $199 for the 8GB model and $299 for the 16GB model. The 16GB model will also be available in white.
