Word on the street is that Apple’s Macbook Air will go on sale this Wednesday, with a chance that it could be available later today. Since it’s unveiling on January 15th at Mac World 2008, the Macbook Air has only been available for pre-order via the Apple Store.
During his keynote speech, Apple CEO Steve Jobs said that the new 0.76 thin laptop would be shipping in about two weeks, which would mean we should expect the release at some point this week. Apple is notorious for delaying the launch of new products to generate more of a buzz before the release date and there is no reason why the Macbook Air should be any different.
