Apple announced late last week that it has finalized plans to open its third retail store in Manhattan on the lower west side in the Meatpacking District, despite having two previous plans fall through in the Flatiron District and on West 34th Street.
The newest store will be located at the intersection of 14th street and 9th Avenue and is the third out of a five store Manhattan project. The building that will house the store is a three story, 52,000 square-foot corner lot, and has recently undergone a ten million dollar renovation.
It is believed that the next store will be located on the Upper West Side, possibly in the area of 84th Street and Broadway.
