According to News.com, a Cingular customer service representative confirmed June 11th, 2007 as the official release date for Apple Inc.’s highly anticipated iPhone, which is right on target with Steve Jobs’ initial launch date that he first stated in his keynote speech at Macworld Expo.

The announcement of this date comes as no surprise since June 11th is also the start of Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference that runs until June 15th in San Francisco. While this news has certainly got iPhone fans excited, Apple’s camp has still not released an official statement regarding the launch date.
As Apple gears up for the big launch in June, the company sent out a teaser advertisment via email to those individuals who signed up to receive all the latest iPhone news with a preview photo and a headline reading “Talk to You Soon - Thanks for signing up. You’ll be the first to hear the latest about iPhone– coming this June. That gives you just enough time to think of ways to break the news to your current phone.”
Very cool, I can’t wait. Although you might want to change the date to 2007.
