Timberlake Sets New iTunes Record

Jive Records recording artist, Justin Timberlake has set a new record for Apple’s digital music seller, iTunes for the sale of over 50,000 videos of his latest singles off of his sophomore album, FutureSex/LoveSounds.

Timberlake and Jive decided to release the new video, “What Goes Around… Comes Around”, exclusively on iTunes. The video that was released is 9:20 in length and is the Directors Cut that features Scarlett Johannson and Shawn Hatosy. The music video was directed by Sam Bayer, who has also directed for Areosmith, Metallica, and Green Day.

This is not the first record that Timberlake has set in recent months; his first single off “FutureSex/LoveSounds” sold over 252,000 in its first week, the largest number ever sold on iTunes. The same album set a record for being pre-ordered the most ever on iTunes and then went on to sell an additional 66,000 albums in its first week as well.
