Did Apple Steal the iPhone?

Last month, Korean manufacturer, LG Electronics, introduced its LG KE850 Prada phone and is now accusing Apple Inc. of stealing its phone concepts that were revealed in September of last year, to create the iPhone.

“We consider that Apple copycat [the] Prada phone after the design was unveiled when it was presented in the iF Design Award and won the prize in September 2006,” said Mr. Woo-Young Kwak, LG’s head of mobile handset Research and Development, regarding the issue.

While it may not be certain if LG is trying to gain a little press from these claims, since it’s Prada phone has just begun being launched in Barcelona, we do know that this is not the first time the two companies have butted heads. LG has previously accused and sued Apple Inc. for stealing their ideas interface design and scroll wheel for the Apple iPod.
