DVD Player Upgrade for Mac OS X Leopard?

AppleInsider and MacRumors are reporting that the upcoming Mac OS X Leopard that is due for a Spring 2007 release will have tons of new features and one could possibly be a major upgrade to its DVD Player 5.0 equipment.

The coolest feature includes new full screen chapter navigation that allows users to view thumbnails of individual chapter’s that scroll above the film that is playing. In addition, the player features a time bar for time jumping and visual scrubbing and an audio equalizer. Screen caps of the new player show that it has a black design with platinum highlights.

Currently, there has been no word as to whether or not any HD-DVD or Blue Ray features are included with the new upgraded system.
