New-to-Mac Owners Percentage Growing

According to AppleInsider, a new survey by PiperJaffray analyst, Gene Munster, 25% of the individuals buying Mac computers at over 20 different Apple specialty stores, have never owned a Mac and are most likely purchasing one as a result of the infamous iPod “halo effect.”

Munster also found that 50% of Macs purchased at Apple’s own chain of stores are to first time Mac owners as well. The survey also revealed that all Apple related stores are expected to see larger quarterly sales this month than the 3 months prior. While in recent months stores have been wiped clean of the ever popular iPod Shuffle and iPod Nano, customers will be glad to know that 95% of the retailers surveyed are stating that their Apple products are all in stock.
