Brits honor iPod Designer



The British designer of Apple’s iPod & iMac, Jonathan Ive, received the honor of Commander in The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire from the Queen at her New Year Honors ceremony.

Ive has received several awards since his joining with Apple in 1992 including, 2003 Designer of the Year by the Design Museum London and Royal Designer for Industry from The Royal Society of Arts.

Apple released a statement in regards to Ive’s accomplishments saying, “We are as proud as could be that Jony is receiving such a prestigious commendation.”
