Purchasing relief for iTunes users

Don’t you hate when you buy a single on iTunes off an album that isn’t set to come out for another month, and then when you go to buy the album you end up paying for two of the same songs?

Well Apple is tapping into this frustrating controversy and might show you some love and give iTunes credit for the songs you already purchased. Currently when users have this problem the only alternative is to buy the full album for $9.99 and end up with the same song twice, or to buy all the albums tracks individually which usually ends up being more than $9.99 all together.

“In the interest of more consumer-friendly transactions, that makes some sense,” said Gartner analyst Mike McGuire who agrees this will eliminate any unnecessary barriers.

iTunes customers have already seen Apple be more leiniant about album pricing by offering older albums from $5.99 to $7.99, a significant cut from the regular $9.99 price.
