Anti-Virus software maker, Symantec, has announced a new “low risk” virus for Macintosh’s OSX. The virus, titled OSX.Macarena, infects files in the current folder on the affected computer and can infect other files once executed. Symantec has updated its virus definitions (if you even have anti-virus for your mac), so users that update regularly or automatically shouldn’t have an issue. While this virus appears to be minor, we have to wonder if we could start to see increased numbers of viruses for Mac related software as Apple snatches up more and more market share.
