Last week marked the release of the new MacBook Pro’s and they’re determined to rock every part of your digital world. Not only do they look better, but they also perform and feel better too.
The newest member of the MacBook family runs almost 40% faster than its antecedent and has an Intel Core 2 Duo with a 15-inch 2.16GHz or 17-inch 2.33GHz respectively. The new MacBook’s have hard drives up to 200GB and up to 3GB of 667MHz DDR2 memory in addition to FireWire 800 ports and a double layer burning SuperDrive. Additionally, the laptops are equipped with a tiny iSight camera just above your display that allows for video conferencing, or creating photos in a personal Photo Booth.
Don’t try to out smart these new hi-tech machines, they have excellent performance down to a science. Trip on that pesky power cord? MacBook has a magnetic power cord that will simply unplug itself and not send your entire computer tumbling towards the ground. Speaking of tumbling to the ground, worried about your laptop falling off anything? No worries, now it can detect when it’s taking a plunge by stabilizing the hard drive during fast changes of motion.
For the busy travelers who constantly are lugging their laptops on business trips, the new Pro’s are only one inch thick and weigh only 5 to 6 pounds. Not only are these new cutting edge computers easier to move around the airport, they’re now easier to use while you’re on the plane itself. You can now use a MagSafe Airline Adapter to allow more extended power time during flights, or create your own personal network with the AirPort Express.
While theses are just a few of the highlights on the new MacBook Pro’s, head on over to the Apple website to get the down low on the complete list of features these machines have to offer.
